I hope that you will join me on Tuesday evening, January 18, 2011, as Max and Benny's launches the first chapter in our Chicago Jewish Authors Literary Series. I will be discussing Saul Bellow's "Letters." We will meet in the Back Room of the restaurant beginning at 7:00 PM. There will be complimentary cookies and coffee. Bellow, who grew up in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood, would have enjoyed this venue to discuss his writing, as he loved to eat at some of the great Jewish eateries such as Joe Pierce's on Division and Braverman's on Chicago as a youngster and young man.
